SINAMICS S120 Synchronism Applications with DCB Extension

Why can you not establish a connection to a CPU
with firmware 2.9/4.5 with an HMI lower than V17?
You have upgraded the firmware of a S7-1500 to
firmware 2.9 /S7-1200 to firmware 4.5 and
now want to communicate with a panel
(Basic, Comfort or Unified), or
Runtime Advanced lower than V17.
All you get when you start the RT is
the message "Connection terminated".
This FAQ response describes what you have to do
to re-establish the connection.
